The Moreton Bay community have been working hard to stop this development from destroying the wetlands. Local community groups and environmental organisations – including ACF – are working together to ensure our voices are heard.
This rezoning and development is “clearly unacceptable” because it would result in “permanent and irreversible damage to the ecological character” of the wetland. These are the Department of the Environment and Energy’s own words.
This is destruction of critical habitat, and will have lasting repercussions for the people and animals that call this place home. And we can’t just stand by and watch.
We know there’s something bigger at play here. You can help us find out what is.
