Shimmering shoals of vibrant fish. Rainbow coral alive with colour. Vulnerable green sea turtles floating through crystal-clear water as endangered pygmy blue whales sing in the distance.

Scott Reef is a 15-million year old marine sanctuary, home to thousands of marine animals like these. It’s peaceful, untouched and full of life.

But right now, Scott Reef is under threat – and we could only have a few months left to protect it.

The Albanese Government will soon decide whether to greenlight Woodside’s Browse gas drilling project right near Scott Reef: a choice that could devastate Scott Reef and the wildlife that depends on it.

Labor could decide Scott Reef’s fate before the end of this year. That means what we do right now is critical.

Together, we must dial up the pressure on Labor to protect this ancient sanctuary, before it's too late. Will you help save Scott Reef from Woodside's drilling with an urgent gift today?

Here’s how your gift can help:

  • Make the campaign to save Scott Reef impossible to ignore, pressuring Labor in newspapers and billboards across the country to save Scott Reef
  • Mobilise hundreds of thousands of nature lovers across Australia so that everywhere Labor looks, they see people demanding they reject Woodside’s drilling at Scott Reef
  • Give Scott Reef a voice in the halls of Parliament House by ensuring ACF’s expert policy advisers can meet with as many MPs as possible, briefing MPs in Parliament week after week until they cannot look away

The impact Woodside’s drilling project would have on Scott Reef could be catastrophic.

Gas drilling noise tearing through the water, drowning out the songs of disoriented and distressed pygmy blue whales. Critical turtle nesting sites at risk of collapsing below the waves before the next generation can hatch. A surge of climate pollution heating the ocean, intensifying coral bleaching and stripping our iconic reefs of colour.

We didn’t fight for stronger nature laws only to let the Albanese government consider approving destruction like this.

Labor has a choice: save Scott Reef or back Woodside’s drilling and destruction of this pristine marine eco-system. They cannot do both.

Scott Reef is 15 million years in the making. We can’t let one short-sighted decision damage it beyond repair.

Your gift today can help make sure the Albanese government cannot turn a blind eye to the unavoidable destruction Woodside's drilling could inflict on Scott Reef.
