Adani’s mine would be the biggest expansion of coal mining on Earth. It would open the Galilee Basin to nine water-guzzling coal mines. That’s why we’re pressuring the contractors — the companies Adani need to help build the mine.
More than 60 companies have now ruled out helping Adani build their polluting and climate-destroying mine — including GHD! But it's not over yet.
Adani must install signalling on the 200km railway that it plans to transport its coal to the coast. And Siemens in the only company in Australia who can do this work — the others have ruled it out. They refuse to work with Adani.
Siemens Australia is still digging in its heels in. So we’ve been gathering signatures from our community, making calls, leaving comments on their social media pages and even holding loud, colourful actions outside their recent gala dinner in Sydney, so they get the message loud and clear:
Siemens, help build our future not Adani’s mine.
